So, it is no surprise that for the last two years, OSHA’s Top 10 most cited violations list was dominated by workplace fall prevention—or rather a lack thereof. According to OSHA statistics for 2017 and 2018, the number 1 most-cited violation was the failure to meet general requirements for fall prevention (OSHA Standard 1926.501) and moving up from #9 in 2017 to #8 in 2018, was training requirements for fall protection (OSHA Standard 1926.503).
